    Yes, it is from the mineral oil. And it will clear up in a couple of sheds. It is not dangerous nor is your snake discomforted in any way. If I have a snake with retained eyecaps, I just put a drop of mineral oil on the cap and after a little time it comes right off. For stuck shed on other places, warm water on a wash rag works better than mineral oil, and you just let the snake crawl through your hands as you hold the washrag.

    im incountering this same thing with mine but have never used any oils on him could it be the bedding im useing cypress mulch jungle bedding
