    Pinoy Pythons
My first snake was a ball python, but my 2nd one is a kingsnake. : ) My current collection consist of ball pythons only, but I always contemplate on adding new species, just to spice up my craving in having a different look to my collection. So just last week, I ended up in having 2 of the colubrids on my previous wishlist. A mexican black kingsnake (black snakes are so mystical-lookin to me) and an albino honduran milksnake (they are just like candy). And believe it or not, before bumping to this thread, Ive been thinkin of adding a hognose to my collection. :) Maybe there's something in them that attracts bp keepers. Plus the fact that they come in various morphs, they dont grow too big, and have a very unique behaviour (death faint) .

I always thought that the hognose was kinda homely looking but my wife insisted so we picked up one. I must admit he grew on me and now I think there almost cute (but not quite). I do have to admit, however, that they are very well mannered and friendly. Pretty cool patterns too. ..... just can't get beyond that nose ...... :D

I have fallen asleep with a BP wrapped around my arm and he never moved. That's what I call Man's Best Friend. FYI, I was in front of the TV and my wife was watching the snake so I was not in any danger.

Balls sure are relaxed snakes, I havent met a mean one yet. Although I have seen a couple grumpy ones on youtube lol

Yeah, ball pythons don't act anything like real snakes. You think corns are flighty and don't sit still, you should try holding a milk.

I wish balls were more like real snakes. That's the only thing wrong with them is they have the personality of a rock.

    Personality of a rock ?

Perhaps you meant rock star ?

Of the 15 I have, some are couch potatoes, most are divas, one believes it's a racer, and one is convinced it's a turtle.

They are all fascinating to me, I never get tired of interacting with them. Especially my diva's.

Hognose are really awesome snakes. I used to have a little baby whom I got at a month old. He ate like a pig and was very calm.

They're definitely cute little piggies, with their adorable upturned noses. Definitely a colubrid that would fit right into a python/boa owner's home :).

I have to admit corns aren't much fun as babies. They are just little and flighty. Once they grow a bit they are very cool. Great feeders too.
