I don't/won't palpate during ovy or anytime that week around the ovy, just to be safe ;)
When you see that build up coming and know an ovy is coming then it's time to let her do her thing.
After the ovy swell goes down then I feel it's safer to palpate.

lily had a perfect pre lay shed yesterday so I'm expecting eggs around may 8th!!
so excited for my first clutch, I've been documenting the entire process so I'll have a better idea next year. this sure has been an exciting couple of months, can't wait for the next three :)

my excitement is getting too hard to contain lol. this morning I saw her laying in an inverted coil on the hot side and she's a little under two weeks until lay date. I can't wait for my first clutch!!
