I'm so sorry. I know how hard it can be.

That's for sure, and an amazing way to look at it.

Thank you so much. Losing a beloved pet feels like losing a family member, which they are.
Thank you everyone so much for the posts, I really appreciate it a lot.:)

So sorry Tiff. :( I know what this is like. I had a black lab when I was growing up and had to put him down due to having cancer.
Re: I'm going to miss you more than anything in the world....
So sorry sweetie. After the immediate pain has past, you can remember the good times you had.

Yeah it always sucks losing any pet for sure, I've even cried over a Corn snake I had for a few months (well it was my first Corn anyway:P) LOL, so I definitely see where you're coming from :).

Thank you. Cancer?? That's so sad I'm sorry:(. Black labs are such sweet dogs too.. My other dog is a Lab/Chow mix and he hangs out with me all day long when I'm home.

I've had him my entire life, and I'm only two months older than him. He's 15 years old, pretty long time for a dog.
It's devastating, but it's time. He has arthritis in his tail bone so he can't get up without help from us. He also is having accidents a couple times a day more or less.
I've never had to let go of something so close to me, and it sucks.:tears:
Thanks for reading, anything is much appreciated:). Thanks again.
So sorry to hear about your doggy :(.... It sounds like he's in alot of pain so the only good thing is he wont have to hurt anymore
Re: I'm going to miss you more than anything in the world....
So sorry to hear that you have to go thru this. Always remember that you and your family gave him 15 wonderful years of happiness. He will always be in your hearts and memories.
He will go join all the other animals that have passed to the other side at the Rainbow Bridge where he will wait to be reunited with you again some day.
I have a 10 year old boxer who has cancer and I treasure every single day I have with her because I just don't know how much longer she will be with me.
My prayers are with ya.
Re: I'm going to miss you more than anything in the world....
I think pets (Dogs especially) become more than just pets. They become a family member. They are there to greet you when you come home or sit by the window and watch you the whole time as you leave.
When that day comes when there is no alternative and you have to agree to put down your dog or whatever pet for that matter, there whole life with you flashes right before your eyes. You think about all the good times and all the bad times but usually laugh about the bad times like when they ate your new shoes and how mad you were then but how trivial it is now.....
The pain of losing them is so intense at first but trust me, time does heal all wounds. Good luck to you and your family.
