I don't have my hopes up because then I'll jinx myself lol! But in 09 she produced a pastel that looks identical to her. Like a pastel with no blushing and identical jet black markings. So I held her back pending my results of a YB pairing.

I plan to breed that holdback later this year since she is 1400 grams now. For now I'm just looking forward to producing some amazing YB babies. TSK assured me this male produced offspring as amazing looking as him self so we shall see :D

There are a few subtle traits that specters have and she has all of them. Unless she proves though, she is just a normal. Specters do look like a normal to the untrained eye. They have a long stripe extending from the head. A long stripe extending from tail tip up. Markings are thinner. Little to no blushing or flames. Dusting of lighter color on lower sides. Clean bellys. High contrast between the base color and the color of the markings. Burgundy head spot. Often hatch lighter in color and darken up a little with age.

I didn't really suspect anything until she produced that pastel look-a-like though. That's when I decided to give it a shot with a YB breeding.

Lol ok but all you get is a plate of mushrooms, diced ham, and melted Swiss cheese with a good view of the egg box through the incubator window ;)
