Any readers out there?

Mines is "The Amulet of Samarkand" By Jonathan Stroud,i just finished the book not too long ago and it was really good. I am currently in the middle of "The Golem's Eye" which is the second book after "The Amulet of Samarkand" in the the Bartimaeus Trilogy,after i am done with this one i will give the third book a read if the school orders it,or i might just go out and buy it myself though.

At the moment my favorite author is a tie between Brandon Sanderson, Peter Brett, and Patrick Rothfuss. Check these guys out Dr Del, you won't regret it!

I just finished up the Dark Tower series. Working on The Stand right now.

I'm a huge Stephen King fan and have been since the first book of his I read, which actually was the first book I had ever read just for fun. Also love Dean Koontz and have read about 10 of his books so far.

I'm not ashamed to admit I was the same way with Harry Potter when I started reading the series. I had already seen the first 4 movies by the time I picked up the first book, but that made me appreciate the writing that much more.

The Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan was fun. I don't know if they're planning on making any more of the series into movies, but if they do, I doubt I'll watch. The first movie left out so much and changed some major details of the plot, so that kinda ruined it for me.

I also bought my son the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull. If you are into that fantasy genre, I highly recommend it. I read them before I gave them to him and I think I might have to read them again now that he's finished. :gj:

I read all the time, wife got me a sony reader for X-mas, seem to make me read faster.

I don't have much time to read anything besides textbooks lately, but I am a big bookworm at heart. I can read just about anything you put in front of me, too. Hands down though, John Grisham is my favorite author. I love anything to do with the legal system, and I've always said if I wasn't going to be a teacher, I'd go into law. It totally fascinates me :D

I'm on the last book of the Dark Tower series right now!! :D I love it so much!! Stephen King is definitely one of my all time favs, and he's tied with Ray Bradbury. The Martian Chronicles and Fahrenheit 451 are amazing. I also love 1984 by George Orwell, A Slaughterhouse-5 by Kurt Vonnegut, the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik, The Alien Chronicles by Deborah Chester and The Hobbit of course.

I'm a big sci-fi/fantasy nerd in case you couldn't tell :P

I'm a total bookworm, but I'm not sure if I could choose one favorite haha. I love Shakespeare, Orwell, Steinbeck, etc. I'm really into horror/thriller/murder mystery, although genre doesn't matter to me, I'll read and enjoy anything that's good. I am one of those nerds who can't stop talking about Harry Potter and has read all the books many times. I also read a lot of poetry, short stories, and nonfiction. If I absolutely had to choose a favorite book though, it would probably be Misery by Stephen King. :D

Really? How are you liking it so far? I just finished The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo this weekend and really enjoyed it; I think Larsson is a great writer. I'm thinking about checking out the sequels, but I'm always hesitant about sequels to good books.

I'm into the classic authors. Like H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, Emily Bronte, Alexandre Dumas. However Tolkien is the man. I've read most of his books. The books are far better than the movie. But I do like the movies as well.
