Housing together...Housing seperate...which is better

That's good to hear. Now just keep a close eye on them both for the next couple months to be sure everything is ok.

will do..actually getting ready to leave shortly to get what i need for the second setup,In the grand scheme of BP ownership i am a novice and rely greatly on all of you for advice and guidance.and would never do anything intentional to jeopardize my animals,they mean the world to me.keep you all posted down the road...thanks to all

:)Just a followup to my earlier posts...Went to the New England Wildlife Society in Weymouth Ma on Friday,Home of the "Odd pet Vet" and Dr Gregory Mertz,Fellow Mass area herpers may know of Dr Mertz.I managed to get a nice second hand 30L gal tank for my boy,for a great deal.made a few more stops went home. 20 min later..I had two nice settups for my boy and girl.will post some pics soon of setups and my new girl.Again thanks to all

My thoughts from my experience housing multiple animals together:

It's less work and less expensive to house them separately when compared to housing them together in a healthy manner.

If you're not spending more money and more time dealing with a multi-snake enclosure than with two separate enclosures, you're not likely giving them optimum care for multi-snake housing.

If your desire to house multiple animals together is driven by something other than conserving money, space, and effort, your motives are misplaced.

Snakes aren't social animals unless it is breeding season. Therefor it only makes sense to decrease their stress and house seperately. Good choice and good luck!

As I stated earlier in past posts,I never intended to house my animals together,I have learned that much,It was simply a question thrown out there to see what the overall opinion was,I realize you may be a veteran Herper now,but i highly doubt you were a pro from the beginning.we all start out green.thats why i am a member here.to learn to be a responsible BP owner
