    Yes, that is paradox.

    More specifically paradox causes patches of normal pattern.

    Is it always normal ball python? I've heard the theory is that it is caused by twins that have fused in the egg(Happens with humans as well) and it can be frustrating as sometimes the normal/het in the snake is the one that gets the reproductive organs, meaning a less breedable ball python. But has it ever been shown that a non normal looking snake(aka other morph) got the funky patches? I've just never seen it, it always seems to be a normal or a het!
