    Welcome!

Ball pythons don't grow "that" fast. but they do love small places. which is why bigger tubs and hides stress them out.

name her MOMO, Otsuyu, Cleo, Delilah, twinky!

yeah i am not that great with names..ahah

Well I went in with the intension of getting a tub, and ended up getting the rest of the stuff to finish my big vivarium im building It has 2 chambers 4ft wide, 14 inches deep and 12 inches tall. I am thinking for the BPs chamber I will end up Halfing it untill she gets bigger so it will only be 2 ft wide 14 deep and 1 foot tall (alot smaller then the tub shes in now :D ) for now. I know my corn snake though needs to get into a bigger space though so I just sprung for the rest of my stuff. After its done I will post pictures. I seen a DIY forum in here so I will problubly post there when its done which should be tonight or tomarrow. How ever the snakes wont go in for atleast a few days to allow the paint and to fully cure and dry.

Just to let you know the issues you might face with keeping her in the big tub. Since it is so large it's going to be really hard to heat with just a small heat pad. Youll most likely have a problem keeping the ambient temps up and she could result in a respiratory infection. So much open space in her area also could result in her refusing food. The most important things right now on getting her acclimated, keeping her warm, and food. I would get the smaller tub just because you will see a dramatic difference with how warm it will stay in the tub. Because you won't be able to use a lamp on the tub to heat up the ambient she won't be using any of the height. Because she will get to cold. RIs can be quick to develop and are a pain in the butt to get rid of. She will also feel much more comfortable in a smaller tub and if you let her be will eat with hopefully no refusals. A hands off approach at first until she is eating and pooping on a regular schedule will acclimate her quickly and safely. Hope this is helpful.
