Petco. I don't know if Petco gives out this particular piece of advice, but looking at the poor, tiny, hungry ball pythons they usually sell in-store, I'm guessing they've also all been told it and bought into it.
PETCO here in N.TX is a waste of time & animals. They should close the doors & send ALL the employees back to school. They have repeatedly given wrong info to myself & friends on everything from fish to crickets & everything inbetween. For a long time it was the only retail pet store within 50miles & that is the only reason I ever walked in or returned. The animals look sick, fish tanks in desperate need of cleaning, etc,etc,etc...
Dont get me started:rage:

The one here in Denton is disgusting, it is depressing looking at the reptiles. I can't tell who is more miserable, the animals or the employees. The worst part was that one of the people who worked there was a ball python breeder. She even tried to sell me a pied. Yet, she did nothing about the situation..I never went back

My wife once asked the manager at Petsmart what kind of experience they like potential employees to have for the small animal department. She was told that they prefer people with no experience, because people who already own small animals "bring bad habits to the table".
