    When my fiance had just his male, his male wouldn't fast in the winter. After we quarantined my female and got the ok from the vet, and now have them housed in the same room in close proximity, they both refuse in the winter. So we think it's because they want some... alone time... haha Maybe one day we'll let them breed... but not after my female gets the ok from the vet that's she's definitely big enough and her previous injury won't inhibit the egg laying.

    But back to the original topic, yes I will definitely pick up some smaller rats for the first few meals and then slowly go back up to regular size.
