I agree with a little water at a time, we have to do the same with peaches. She will drink 'til she gets sick. The golf balls might be too small, we used tennis balls for peaches when eating because she would swallow her food like there was no tomorrow...lol but now she has calm down considerably while eating so it has worked for us, I'm just not sure if it will work with water. BTW, diesel is a handsome fella and those are some really nice pups.
