You know, being a woman myself who has big ball python dreams { axanthic pieds }, even a token of your intentions would make me happy.

What I'm saying is: I know you can't afford a visual clown any more than my hubby could an axanthic het pied { visuals are not for sale anywhere }, but in his infinite sweetness to me, he had a friend draw a lovely picture of an axanthic pied for me inscribed : One Day To my wife with love.

His way of telling me he'd get me my dream in a second if he could, but for now....

And I treasure that picture because it tells me how much he loves me and wants to make me happy.

So, maybe you could get her something to show how much you want to get her the snake she longs for, or even something silly, like a clown shaped bank to hold the savings towards a future clown purchase. Just some thoughts.

adult het clown or full clown for like 400 or less?
    Nowhere, not gonna happen ;)

Best you will find with that budget is a pair of hatchling het clowns, or a juvy/adult male het clown.

Good idea. Just because it's her birthday doesn't mean you are going to get a deal you can afford. Sorry! If her birthday is next week that's definitely not going to happen. I'm sure you don't want to hear it, but if you can't afford much and you want to trade you should have started looking and began a payment plan long ago. Finding people to do trades is not easy. They have to have the snake you want and need the stuff you have. By now almost anyone that wants an xbox probably has one. My advice, sell your "trade in stuff" to someone who wants the stuff and put that money towards the snake. Give your GF the $400 and whatever money you get from selling your stuff and let her decide what to do with it. Maybe she wants to put that money towards a visual male and get rid of the het, or maybe she wants to save that money and get her visual girl, or maybe she wants to get a het girl and another bp of her choosing. Give her the choice and tell her it's not possible for you to get a visual. If you are sad she has to get a hatchling/juvenile, you have to get over it! Clowns/clown hets are expensive, that's nothing new! A young het female is perfectly fine and in a year or two if you can afford a visual male clown for her, go for it! Then you will have an awesome breeding pair!

I do not know your wife but I would not want an animal that I did not specifically want. What I mean is, if you can not get her what you know she wants for sure, do not get her an animal. I love angllady2's idea. I would love a gift like that!
