With tubs no need to have them inside. i only keep one per rack to monitor Flexwatt temps in accordance to the t-stat probe. Then device allows me to view room temps from different rack locations so i know where to position space heater.

I keep the device on the bottom shelves of each rack

Tub humidity is controlled by the number of holes you put in the side. Initially when you are making the holes, it is useful to put a hygrometer in to test how many holes you need. Once you have your humidity just right, it tends to stay there. Tubs hold humidity very well and rarely need any kind of adjustment.

You might need a little more then that. I have about 10 holes on each side of the tub, so 40 total. But it will be more or less depending on the normal humidity in your area. If you are in a dry climate=less holes, a humid climate=more holes

They are like quarter inch holes.

I put my accurite in the front corner of the tub and drill a hole to run the cord for the probe around the outside. I ziptie it to the tub and run the probe back in the back side over the heat source so there is only about 3in. of probe cord in the tub. I also hot glue the cord down in a spot or two. I like picking up the tub without having to worry about picking up the thermometer and i get the cool end temps. Here are a few pics. Hope this helps. I've added 6 accurites to my rack since the pics. I like it so far.
