My dad lives in Sandy Springs, and he's been stuck in his house as well. I totally understand going stir crazy. My job called and said we are supposed to try and come in around noon today. Most of the 150 employees called back and said "Yeah right...." I'm going to try and go just so I can get out of my apartment. Already taped up the front end of my car, because I know the salt/gravel mix they use here will beat the crap out of my paint, and I LOVE my car to death. Haha

Haha MN has looked like that, except with deeper snow, for quite a while now. Hasn't slowed us down much, but then, we're used to it, and my Audi is 4WD. Good luck, and here's hoping you guys don't have too many accidents down there. :)

Great pics! We wouldn't even consider that a snow storm here in NE Ohio. :D

I get where you guys are coming from. Seriously. As I said, I'm from northern Montana. But you have to consider that Atlanta, which rarely gets snow that sticks (we did get some last year, too, and it caused a big mess) has NO equipment to deal with sticking snow in any quantity.

We have no salt trucks, we have no snow plows, and we have a ton of people who have never seen snow in their life or very little of it. (Aka, a lot of people who have never DRIVEN on snow or ice).

    It's just a bad mix.

Maybe after this they'll invest in some snow removal equipment. I just heard on the news last night of ten deaths due to weather related car accidents in GA alone. Man, we had that huge storm that dumped almost two feet here in PA last year and traffic on the main roads never stopped.

I have family near Atlanta (in Lilburn) and they have been snowed in also. We got some flurries a few weeks ago, but nothing that stuck here in NE Florida.

I highly doubt they will. There just isn't enough snow here for it.

I got in a wreck last year due to people not knowing how to drive on ice. He slid his bumper all the way down the side of my poor car. It could have been a lot worse, though. I was coming home from work, it WASN'T a good way to end the night, haha.

THIS. They were using a backhoe to clear the streets...It wasn't very effective. Either way, I'm hoping to get back to work tomorrow. (2-day work week FTW!!)
