    i was just using the probe with the themo outside the tub am i doing it wrong?

    No i believe you can simply use the probe inside and have the device out of the enclosure and it will work just as well,but do no just rely on just what i said because i have never used this type of thermometer/hygrometer yet but all other probe thermometers i have worked with i had the probe in the enclosure and the device on top the side of it.and my temps were pretty accurate.

    It really does depend on the exact model - some read humidity only at the base unit for example.

    ty i moved mines inside the unit and its reading tub and not room hum ty ty ty!:banana:
