I put my rats is super hot water to thaw and leave them for about 30-60 minutes. Then I change over that water again a few minutes before feeding to get them really hot.

For mice I do the same but just warm water instead of hot water becuase if mice get too hot the sometimes pop.

Hot water then hair dryer = best method to get mine in the mood sometimes in-between hot water and hair dryer I'll blow on the rat over their cage so they can smell it before I offer it they get out of their hide and start hunting

I've always warmed my rodents up in hot waiter then used a hair dryer, but now I'm at the point where most of my snakes are eating larger rats, and I have several who are VERY particular about the temperature of their food and need them really warm, and it takes 30 minutes of blasting to get a big thick rat very warm at all. Any suggestions?

Ionic hair dryer or a furnace, basically the same thing

I also put them in the fridge over night (a bit longer for the jumbo rats) and then pre scent the room 30 min before offering. Just before I offer it I'll heat the head a bit more with a hair dryer. Just the head usually the body is at room temp or so. I pre scent by the heater so they warm up a bit over the average room temps.

I let the rats thaw in the snake room until they hit room temp. This way my snakes have to smell the rats all day long. When its feeding time they are ready. I either use the ziplock in hot water method or I plug in a heat piece of heat tape without a regulator. The tape will hit 101-105 leave them on that for a couple min then serve your hot rodent to the snake. This is a good method if your feeding a larger amount of balls. JUST DONT FORGET TO UNPLUG THE TAPE AND DO NOT LEAVE THE RATS ON THE TAPE FOR MORE THAN 15 MIN!!!
