I just fed all 45 of my balls this afternoon and I was careless and got bit 4 or 5 times... lol. One of the little buggers was chomping down on my finger like it was a french fry.

It really doesn't hurt. The bites can draw a tiny bit of blood, but it's not a big deal. You just have to pay attention to the snake's demeanor and practice picking it up where your hand isn't right in front of its face... especially if your hand smells like it was just sifting through 50+ rats/mice like mine was.

I've never been bitten by a ball, but if you look at their mouth while they're eating, you'll realize that their teeth are just so darn tiny that it really won't do much lol.

just kidding, bites are more fearful than hurtful. Once you get bit, you'll say to yourself, that wasn't that bad.

Sorry for the joke, but i had to do it,

Like everybody else has been saying, bites arent that bad. So long as they ar from BP's, juvie boas and burms, and all those little snakes.

My Redtail bit me once, and that was all cuz i tried to get her out of the shower. It was actually a cool experience for me. I had little pricks all on my fingers. The speed and such is the only scare. It will possibly swell up and bruise, but within a few hours the swelling will be gone and in 2 or 3 days you lost all bruising. It took me longer because she bit just right and popped my finger out of place of a joint. Apparently she really likes saunas.

Just be careful around the snakes that get 10+ foot, or any snakes that have longer fangs. Example: Emerald Tree Boa. Their longer fangs are for piercing feathers, but they also do pretty good at leaving scars on your back. This i know =D

It's nothing, when you get bitten, especially by a 7 month BP, you will laugh immediately after lol. The more fearful thing you should be afraid of is your reaction, try not to jerk the snake, as this can cause significant damage to them. But then again, it's human instinct to be afraid of these types of things, so all in all just try not to 'sweat it'.

I feel dumb for being scared becuase i have been attacked by many mother cats during a bath and just getting to close to babies. I have been stung by a wasp 2 times and stepped on 4 bees. Yet i am scared as poo to get bitten. I heard getting bit is not as bad as my cat attacks ahah

    any stories for me? :D

Big Gunns has lost both of his Gunns to Ball Python bites. Obviously he had 2 larger ones surgically attached as replacements.:D
