    the humidity reading has been at "HI" since last night, even after the mulch has dried out...the accu-rite is supposed to say "HI" when the humidity level goes above 90%.

    During shed yes your fine, but for every day living 90% is a bit high. 70% would be a good number to shoot for but I HIGHLY doubt that your humidity is really that high. For about 1 hour get double sided tape and stick the accurite on the side wall about 6+ inches over the substrate on the wall. This will give you a more accurate reading in the set up. My guess it's really in the 40's.

    Accurite should be placed like the top container not like the bottom (which I am guessing is how you have yours)
