I just hydrated a block of eco-earth (man that stuff grows big and quick), I am going to mix it up a little for one tank I am having problems with low humidity in. On the instructions it says to dry it in the sun. Though a thin layer and a heat lamp should dry it.

Has anyone tried mixing aspen and eco-earth?

i use aspen and eco earth for my B-P and Milk snakes. they seem to like it my milksnakes are always burrowing in it and i also use a spot with a hand size peice of moss to help keep up the humidity my milks love it. and my bp has no issues either. not saying it is the right way nor the best way thats just what works good for me
