Re: My Daughter's Christmas present
What a lucky girl; to get a beautiful christmas present and having such supportive parents! I had to wait until i had a place of my own to get anything that wasn't a dog or a fish. Now i've got 5 snakes and i'm still scared to tell the parents about the new 4.
Re: My Daughter's Christmas present
Great Christmas present! All three of my kids have their own snakes now. Congrats and welcome!
Re: My Daughter's Christmas present
I got my daughter a Ball Python for Christmas too. She is 9 and has wanted a snake for years. I got her a female pastel from The Snake Keeper. The snake just got here Tuesday. I just hope I can keep her hidden until Christmas morning. I can't wait to see my daughters reaction!
I hope she doesn't find this post!

I am using a UTH on the hot side and a heat lamp 40 watt night light style for the cold side. I have been having a little problem with humidity and ambinent temp. I have been reading on the forum and getting ideas. I am using a wet towel on top on the hot side and the humidity is now staying between 50 and 60 percent. I try to not use the heat lamp during the day but only the night to try to keep the humidity fairly stable and ambiment temp up. It is a constant battle but I think it is worth it.
Re: My Daughter's Christmas present
I am sure she will love the little BP.
Can you tell me how much does a 6 month old BP weigh?
I recieved mine as a full grown adult, about 2,000 grams.
Now she weighs 2,600 grams.
I have been feeding every 18 days, she is still gaining weight.
I am going to a 21 day feeding now, I hope that stops the weight gain.....
