    I applaud his passion, enthusiasm, respect for life, and conservation efforts however I was not overly shocked to hear that he had passed. It always made me cringe to watch him handle animals because he was so exuberant and he would get so close to such dangerous animals, it was the complete opposite of my zoo training. I figured it would be a snake or a croc that got him, not a stingray of all things.
    I personally think he was a good man and will be remembered for his efforts. I truly feel for his children although I have a feeling that they will follow in his footsteps and become great conservationist in their own right.

    i actually found out via 4chan. i couldn't believe it and looked it up and sure enough, it was true. it was horrible. i don't remember if i shed a tear, but i sure was heartbroken.
