    The snake doesn't need a heat lamp or human heat pad it needs a UTH like zoomed, exo terra or any from reptile basics.

    Your fine using a heat lamp till the heat pad comes in the mail. Many still only use heat lamps as main source.


    If you can try to keep that room warmer than the rest till time beings, it will help keep the lamp working more stable rather high low all day.

    you can order and wire up some flexwatt far cheaper than your going to be able to get any heat mat, just make sure as with any uth you use a thermostat

    He is in a plastic tub, should i put something between the actual heat pad in between the plastic.

    No tape the UTH directly to the Tub.
