lol trust me, ive stunned them with an empty 20oz plastic bottle before, its about the speed and location of the hit, try to nail the back of the skull with decent force and that should stun them good enough

Back of the skull, like, around their neck or in between their ears, or on top of their head? I want to make sure I do this right. Are there any Youtube videos on it?

As everyone has said your best bet is to stun or prekill them. I used to put them in a plastic bag and smack them against a wall or concrete ground. Does the trick.

With mine, I aim right between the ears and just behind them. It's easiest to do this from behind the rat.

I just use a sharp downward snap of the wrist, like hitting a drum. Not full force, which would probably kill them, but just a good sharp hit. If I didn't do it quite hard enough the first time, the second does the trick. You'll get a feel for it in no time, unpleasant as that sounds.

i hold by the base of the tail and then give them a swing agenst the edge of one of the cages to the back of the head, how hard is a skill you have to learn on your own. but it dosent take much, learn to do it right, and it over. feed with your tongs,

Do you think my live eaters will eat a stunned rat? Or is it likely they'll act the same way as they do with F/T and show no interest?

Well, since the rat is still breathing and moving slightly, all of my live eaters will take one in moments. These are the same ones who turn their snakey noses up at a frozen rat.

I think it's up to the individual snake. But it couldn't hurt to try at least once.

the only other good way to kill is by CO2. its pretty quick and isnt too bad for the rats
