Reason being, you neve know as the breeder who the animal is being sold to, even if they only want it as a "pet". A "pet" snake can quickly become a "breeder" snake and then that kinked "breeder" snake makes babies that are kinked.
Now regardless of what that animal was sold as, your name as a breeder can quickly turn to poop.
All you've got is your reputation, breeders should do more to protect it.
We also don't need any more genetically deformed animals in this hobby.

I doubt I'm getting her. I stated before I would not breed her if I did, as I am not a breeder. IMO I don't think she deserves to go into a freezer!

Your assumption is based on all kinking being genetic, which is far from the case. Kinks are most often caused by thermal fluctuations during incubation. Only a couple of genetic mutations are associated with kinking. I don't see how this would come back to hurt your name unless the person you sold the animal to decided to essentially be a complete and total :cens0r: by creating rumours about you. Considering the animal would be significantly marked down and sold as just a pet in the first place, I don't see any reason the person purchasing the animal would have to go this route.

Note: I've never sold a kinked animal to anyone, just don't see how selling a kinked morph at a significant discount as a pet correlates to giving you a bad name as a breeder. I've seen at least a few decently well-known breeders doing just this, and haven't heard anything bad about them because of it.

I don't believe that any animal that is eating moving and acting normally should be euthanized, however I don't believe that they should be sold either. Anyone who breeds for any length of time WILL produce kinked and/or deformed animals, and not all, in fact probably most will not be caused by weak genetics, however they still should not be used for breeding. They can still make perfectly good pets and I will give these away, preferably to someone who doesn't have any other ball pythons.
