I use an Olumpus E-Volt 500 with the 14-45mm lense it came with. I also have screw on zoom lenses that I use with Macro. I can;t use a flash that close either cause them it shadows the lense into the middle of my picture.

I also tried moving the top light forward and got even worse shadowing, esp from me or the camera because I get so close, Im practically in the tent with the snake hehehe

His cobra pose is 100% attitude. Thats why his name is Vicious lol He has proved to be the best one to take pictures of because he has such personality

Im still learning how to use this camera so I don't know how to maually set things like over expose and under expose. Im figuring it out though, just gonna take time. This was my first go at it, so not bad considering

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions :)

The light should be very very close to the camera position (like on your head) the shadows it casts will fall behind the snake and not be visible from the camera position. I like the E500's a good entry camera, the 50 macro isn't too bad a lens either reasonably priced too.

what if you got a hot-shoe flash and bounced off the ceiling of the light tent? that's what i usually do.
