I have done several breeding loans, and been satisfied so far. Just draw up a typed agreeement to CYA. Currently entered in one right now. Only do it if you feel confortable tho. If you really want to do it, don't let anyone discourage you.
Re: Looking for thoughts on Breeder loan
Well thank you everyone for all the great advice maybe someday I will do a breeder loan but not at this point I think I need some experience breeding myself and something to bring to the table before I propose I breeder loan. Thank you all for helping me to making a more informed decision.

Honestly given the price of Mojave males those days, I am not sure a breeding loan is worth the headache.
Re: Looking for thoughts on Breeder loan
Me and a friend have been doing breeding loans for several years now, and have never had any problems. We do not have any contracts, and I send a couple of my males and females to his place for breeding.
When the eggs hatch out, we see how the ratio of morph and sex turns out, then split the clutch. For example, if we get 1.2 Mojaves and 2.2 Normals from a clutch, we both would get a female Mojave, and a pair of normals. Then we would sell the male Mojave and split the money, or if one of us wanted the male, we would pay the other half of what the animal is worth.
That's how our breeding loans have worked out so far, and never had any problems.
Hope this helps
