no im j/k just get the most resent version of photoshop, i know the newer ones have content aware which is pretty cool.

got an email? I got a portable version of CS4 (no content aware in this version) but I can send it to you and you can see how you like it. no installing required, just something to unzip it. Though I don't know if it will work on a mac... one way to find out i guess?

Look into the GIMP before you spend any money on Photoshop. It can do anything Photoshop can, and best of all it's free.

GIMP plus Inkscape are great! If you are trying to save money you can do pretty much everything you need to do with these. Lots of youtube tutorials and website helps with both.

CS5 makes things easier because it is so broadly used by professionals. (Save as an AI, send as an AI) You can get on the adobe website and try these for free for a few months.

for 100$ish, photoshop elements is a GREAT buy.

I use GIMP/Inkscape. But as soon as I HAVE to buy CS5...I will.

I use both PS Elements 8 and PS CS5, love them both, though I use Elements more often. Though I've never worked on any website stuff, it seems to me that either would do the job quite well.
