    I forgive you :)

Well only if you promise to give us updated pics until he is full healed :]

I understand where you are coming from. Although Im sure my circumstances couldnt compare to yours, having gone to war and what not.

But My snake actually helped me through my depression and PTS. An impulse buy that sorta turned into a blessing. He calms me and helps w my anxiety.
Maybe your snake will turn into a blessing for you also.

Animals of any species can aid in rehabilitation.

But thank you for the apology!

How do I upload photos to this site?

Though his condition is improving, it is still much worse than I would like it to be. It has been said that 1/4 inch is about the most you want to let a prolapse get before your pet needs veterinary care. His is far beyond that(1/2 - 5/8 in). Through sources other than this site, I have been told it is possible to get the prolapse to retreat from this stage, but not very common. I am praying that it can retreat with what I powers I have available to me. If not, I pray that I can keep him alive, and as comfortable as possible until pay day (25th of October! YIKES!), or the sources I have contacted can find a better care-taker for Gadsden that can afford the immediate costs to take him to a vet.

I ask all of you for your prayers in Gadsden's recovery, health and luck!

    Hi,

Well the first thing is to get them hosted somewhere online.

You can put them in your gallery here - this tutorial is a bit old but the basic procedure is the same I think.

And here is another one in video form that might also help.

You can also use a site like http://photobucket.com/

They should also have tutorials to help you.

If you still have trouble just ask any member of staff and we will do our best to get you sorted. :gj:

Thought I don't have time to upload photos at this moment, I would like to give those of you that are concerned an update:

I am continued with a thorough regiment of soaking, gentle cleaning, application of anti-biotic ointment, Vaseline, sugar-water and Cortozone (in no particular order, just as needed by observation) to the affected site. the prolapse is shrinking and looks healthy. No dying or rotting flesh!. retraction is slow, but it is happening!

Also, as my experience and knowledge with snakes expands, I am finding I want another snake. I am particularly interested in axanthics. Does anyone here breed, or know a good breeder?

To post photos, first, you will need to upload your photos to your Gallery on this website or to a photo hosting website like Photobucket, Flickr, etc...

-Open up the Reply window to the thread you want to post them in.

-Open a separate internet browser window and go to the site where your photos are posted.

-Usually below the photo, you will find some URL links or codes. Look for the one that begins with [IMG] or sometimes it may be listed as "BB Code". Highlight and copy this entire code then paste it in your "Reply" window.

-Click on the "Preview Post" button to see if the photo becomes visible. If it does click "Submit Reply". If not, then double check that you copied the right code or the entire code. The end of the code should be [/IMG]...

Here is a link to a video tutorial also. Hope this helps...

To those that are concerned about Gadsden's condition:

He is constantly improving. His prolapse has retreated about a quarter of an inch over the passed 3 days. it is retreating faster and faster every day. I am soaking 10 minutes a day, cleaning gently with mild soap and water, applying sugar water, anti-biotic ointment, Vaseline, and Hemorrhoid cream to the prolapse. Gadsden is in good spirits. It is odd that his reactions are far more complex than I would have imagined; He seems to be displaying gratitude toward me.

Thank you all for your forgiveness and understanding. I need a good group of people like this on my side.

    GADSDEN'S PROLAPSE HAS COMPLETELY RETRACTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to continue applying anti-biotic ointment to his vent to ensure that no bacteria infest the site. I will also soak him once a day for 10 minutes. He has started to shed again. I am going to wait a few days to feed him as well to ensure that everything is as it should be before I put any pressure on his digestive tract.
