Whats the most common thing yyou get asked about your snakes?

I a big ditto to what everyone else said and "Can't it kill you?"

my two favorites:

You have snakes ? when I answer yes, I have 12 it's

You have HOW many ?

Also the ever popular:

Does it bite ?
Aren't they dangerous ?
Ewww, snakes are gross!
How can you stand them in your room?
Aren't you afraid they'll escape in the night and kill you or your husband ?


Lately it's been :

So, your like a rodent serial killer ? - I'm not joking, either.
What do you mean your going to BREED them ?

Do you ever get bit..most likely the most common question I get asked..

Do they bite?
Aren't they going to get huge?
Is this one poisonous? (Yes, I'm going to let you, let alone myself, hold a venomous snake)

The most common question I get is "Why?". Literally my friends and family just ask "Why do you have snakes?"

It's because I can, and it's what I like!!

How can you keep a snake as a pet?

I had a guy just last night saying "ewwww snakes are nasty" I said "what kind of pet do you have?" of course the reply was dog. my response? "Ewwwwww nasty dogs slobbering all over the place, shedding on your furniture bringing fleas and dirt in the house and pooping all OVER your yard!!! That is soooo gross!!!" lol

Yeah this is how i SHOULD reply when people ask me why i keep snakes. Granted i work at Petsmart and 90% of the people that come in own dogs and think snakes are either deadly or gross.

The most common questions i get are:
Why do you have snakes?
You have how many??!?!?
What do you feed them??!?

Other than that, it's not to bad cause i prefer to inform people rather than be defensive. Most of the time they aren't going to hear it no matter what you do, or they will listen a little and leave smarter than when they came in.
