My bp has a throat problem, any help??

The first thing I thought of from the OP's description of the sounds was that the snake was hissing, out of anger or stress. I might be wrong, but I thought that the wheezing or bubbles from an RI were constant, not just every once in a while. :oops:
So, the inconsistency reminded me of hissing, or just poofing itself up to try to scare you.
Definitely seek another vets opinion. If you get two ok's, proceed with caution. Keep an eye on it.

Ok so I decided to leave her alone while she was in shed and evaluate her after.

Saturday morning I checked and she'd shed and done a little poop :oops:

So I got her out and to my surprise she was a different snake! Back to normal, no wheezing or clicking sounds and no poofing up, she was totally fine! Phew...

What a relief!! I think most of you guys were right and it was all a 'i'm in shed dont touch me' act, but whatever I'm just soooooo happy she's back to normal and it wasn't anything serious.

I'd like to know if your snake is still doing fine. One of my girls was making wheezing sounds and puffing her throat like she was having trouble breathing. Right now I'm finishing up the Fortaz and Baytril that the vet prescribed but there has been no change in the sounds or throat puffing which only occurs right after I inject her (when she's stressed). She should be shedding very soon. I'm hoping that it's not an RI and just what was described here.
