Re: Share a spooky story.
This is my story:
One rainy night my friends and I were playing ouija. We were kids, so we went all out with the candles and everything. After a night of asking the board about the future and which girls liked us, it was working very well. I suspected someone was pushing the oracle, but of course everyone denied. Late in the session mom passed through the kichen and jokingly said "Ask it where I lost my new sunglasses" sure enough we asked the board. The oracle swirled the board beneath our hands, it finally slowed and crept to the words "goodbye" near the bottom of the Ouija board. We all looked at each other a bit puzzled, we didn't even notice the words written down there.
Then suddenly we hear a loud Clink! We were all startled. From atop the refridgerator fell none other than the...
Missing Sunglasses
True story.

Re: Share a spooky story.
I really do have a bunch of stories, but this one stands out in my mind. It was a Saturday morning and as kids will do, we were sleeping in. My sisters shared a room and one of them came out of their room and woke everyone up looking for Grandpa. She was sure she had seen him standing at the foot of her bed. She wouldn't believe he wasn't in the house. She went back into the room and then smelled flowers. She woke my other sister up and both went to get Mom. We all went into the room and the room smelled like roses, Since we lived in a townhouse, this room did not have windows, so there was no chance of outside smells getting into the room. We all smelled the rose scent, but couldn't figure it out. We all go about our daily chores, then a few hours later, the phone rings and it's my Mom's brother and he tells my Mom that Grandpa died this morning.
We found out that he died at the time my sister saw him in her room. Roses were his favorite flower too. And he always slept in that room whenever he came to visit.
This is a true story.

Susan and Ned were driving through a wooded empty section of highway. Lightning flashed, thunder roared, the sky went dark in the torrential downpour.
“We’d better stop,” said Susan.
Ned nodded his head in agreement. He stepped on the brake, and suddenly the car started to slide on the slick pavement. They plunged off the road and slid to a halt at the bottom of an incline.
Pale and shaking, Ned quickly turned to check if Susan was all right. When she nodded, Ned relaxed and looked through the rain soaked windows.
“I’m going to see how bad it is,” he told Susan, and when out into the storm. She saw his blurry figure in the headlight, walking around the front of the car. A moment later, he jumped in beside her, soaking wet.
“The car’s not badly damaged, but we’re wheel-deep in mud,” he said. “I’m going to have to go for help.”
Susan swallowed nervously. There would be no quick rescue here. He told her to turn off the headlights and lock the doors until he returned.
Axe Murder Hollow. Although Ned hadn’t said the name aloud, they both knew what he had been thinking when he told her to lock the car. This was the place where a man had once taken an axe and hacked his wife to death in a jealous rage over an alleged affair. Supposedly, the axe-wielding spirit of the husband continued to haunt this section of the road.
Outside the car, Susan heard a shriek, a loud thump, and a strange gurgling noise. But she couldn’t see anything in the darkness.
Frightened, she shrank down into her seat. She sat in silence for a while, and then she noticed another sound. Bump. Bump. Bump. It was a soft sound, like something being blown by the wind.
Suddenly, the car was illuminated by a bright light. An official sounding voice told her to get out of the car. Ned must have found a police officer. Susan unlocked the door and stepped out of the car. As her eyes adjusted to the bright light, she saw it.
Hanging by his feet from the tree next to the car was the dead body of Ned. His bloody throat had been cut so deeply that he was nearly decapitated. The wind swung his corpse back and forth so that it thumped against the tree. Bump. Bump. Bump.
Susan screamed and ran toward the voice and the light. As she drew close, she realized the light was not coming from a flashlight. Standing there was the glowing figure of a man with a smile on his face and a large, solid, and definitely real axe in his hands. She backed away from the glowing figure until she bumped into the car.
“Playing around when my back was turned,” the ghost whispered, stroking the sharp blade of the axe with his fingers. “You’ve been very naughty.”
The last thing she saw was the glint of the axe blade in the eerie, incandescent light.

When I was 10 my parents owned a restaurant and pizzeria. My sister Debbie who was 24 at the time worked there. She had a house, husband, and 4 kids. She would take me to school in the morning from the restaurant and pick me up after school and we'd go back to the restaurant. One day as she was off work and leaving the restaurant she stopped at the door and came back to the counter to give our mom a hug and said I love you mom. She went to leave and got to the door and came back and did it again. My mom asked her if she was ok or needed money or something and she just said no, I just wanted you to know. She did this a total of 3 times and it was very out of the ordinary.
Some time around 3am the next morning my mom woke up in a sweat long before she normally did to go to work. She paced around the house but didn't know what was wrong. A couple hours later she got the call that my sister died in a car accident where she was the passenger right at the time mom woke up that morning..

Another one that isn't sad but creepy. There is a very small cemetery not far from where I work that has a long history of being haunted. The entire area originally belonged to the Indians and there are protected burial mounds in the area as well.
My ex and I use to go to this cemetery at night to see if we would ever experience anything but we never did. Then years later I went with a couple friends and we kept hearing footsteps getting closer but no one was there. Then we heard a crazy high pitched sound that could only be described as someone screaming. It wasn't raccoons screaming or some other animal because I'm familiar with the sounds our wildlife makes. Then the sound of footsteps started again and was coming straight toward us. Keep in mind we all had flash lights, it was nit very late or very dark so we could see the entire place dimly, and we had permission from the county police to be there after hours..
So something we could not see walked to within about 10 ft of us before we freaked out, ran to the car and got the heck out of there lol!
We did get some pictures with shadowy things in them and had left a tape recorder which picked up some weird thumping noises later on but nothing really good.
