Calm down....

Some snakes are just like that. You can try to keep handling him/her to see if they calm down, but there's no guarantee. My Ball is sweet, but she'll flinch at anything that goes near her head and if you put her down she makes it her mission to run away. The RTB I just got is a big, sweet slug; she wanders, but it's more of a "oh hey, what's that?" kinda curiosity, she never tries to wing it off my arm or bed like my Ball. :P

Try and stick with him and see if he calms down. It might just be a young'n issue.

I have to agree with this. I have a very young RTB (3mths old) and she is more flighty. She doesn't seem afraid, just very active. She is constantly moving when she's out and will duck away when first touched. But once she's secure in my hands, she'll settle a bit and get curious and then try climbing all over me exploring. I think once yours settles down a bit more in his environment and gets frequent and gentle handling, he'll calm down more too.

And I would try feeding every 10 days. His activity level may be because he's hungry. At 2 years old, every week may be a little too frequent for a boa, but 2 weeks may be too long for this particular snake. What size prey are you offering?
