I am a ball python owner for over a year and my adult is as docile as they come as far as biting. My babies are slightly more moody and aggressive as they normally are. I am at the same point, kinda wish one of them would get me just once especially while they are small so I know what it feels like. I certainly don't think it will scare me away from balls as I have a scar from a rescue dog and I still have a crap load of doggies that I love!!!!

the baby i had before struck at me..didnt hold on. just enough to sink his teeth in. didnt hurt to bad..was more the shock and surprise. this guy is a much bigger than my last so if it happens it happens. will probably just make me more cautious than anything

well i took the leap of faith and decided if he bites me he bites me. i went in to clean his cage a bit.(he gets the aspin in his water dish and i put in another thermometer). as soon as my hand went in he came out...forked his tongue for a bit and then continued on his marry way. so i guess he was just curious

You should not be bothering him at all for at least a week so he can settle in! You are lucky that he has not tried to bite you! Usually they are snappy when in a new home!
