Re: Silly question about removing BP from feeding tank
I use to feed in a separate enclosure but I now feed in their regular/housing tubs.

To those that still think it's safer to feed in a separate enclosure: The only time I have ever been bit by one of my BP's is when I was moving one BACK from a feeding tub to their regular enclosure.

The only times I have been bitten is transferring to/from the feeding tubs. After reading the responses in this thread, I think I'll stop the process. Wasn't really a problem when I had 1,2 or 3 snakes. Now I have to juggle feeding days and such to make feeding in tubs efficient. Might be time for me to stop the practice.

To answer the OP's question though, I would take them out of the feeding tub when they either curl up in the corner or start finding a way out.

Re: Silly question about removing BP from feeding tank
I use to follow the seperate feeding place. I guess to start it was to make sure they knew one place feed one place live so i wouldnt get bit:)

I stopped that after 6 weeks. BP's will be ready to feed when scent is in the air. Having them feed and live same place does not make them more aggressive or ready to eat everytime you open the tub. This is my experience. I actually find that feeding in their enclosure improves feeding consistency. Your not moving them or doing anything hands on to stress them out. I would no longer feed in second enclosure and leave them in there living quarters:)
