Your other option is to order online. Rodentpro.com or MiceDirect are two of the sites I've heard of.

I just bought 10 rat pups today and made a co2 chamber left them in there for a half hour then froze them now I have my own frozen food. I used the baking soda and vinegar method but next time I think I'll use the dry ice method.

Is it really cheaper to buy live and then freeze? I've never bought live, but for some reason I just assumed that would be more expensive.

All depends on the costs in your area I get live rat pups for 99 cents but the cheapest is ordering online in bulk.
