    nice snakes...how long do you leave the mice in there? I thought that was a "no no" ?

    Generally it is IF they are big enough to eat real food. But the mice I had weren't even weaned from the mother yet so I felt safe in leaving it in there. Sometimes with babies you have to leave the food item in and shut the lights off to get them to eat. I usually do that for an hr or two and if they don't eat then I pull it out. The bigger snakes if they don't eat within 15 minutes then I take it out.
