Re: What can you tell me about this snAke?
i went there tonight and the snake was in fine health very good weight for its size.. seemed active not showing any odd signs.. i asked about past feedings and the guy said everything was going fine..i figured i would take the little man home and try my luck.. so now hes mine..
but there seems to be some controversy about the asking price.. was $150 a good buy if hes of fine health?
and another question.. could he possibly a hypo? i looked at his lower sides and his stripes and he seems to getting more yellow on him than white.. or is this just how spiders are?
Re: What can you tell me about this snAke?
If he is in good health, I'd say $150 was a fair price for him. As far as being hypo? I'd just say it is a low white spider. Spiders can have variable degrees of white, hence the terms high white and low white for them. Congrats and good luck with him. Also, if you have other snakes, remember to quarantine him. :gj:

Quarantine keeps your collection safe from mite infestations, transmitable disease, etc. Nothing to do with aggressiveness. Better safe than sorry. Most here recommend a minimum of 6 weeks quarantine in a different room of the house (different floor as well) to minimize harm to your collection. After the quarantine period passes, the snake can then join the collection.

It is a matter of preference. Some prefer low white, others high. My spider to me looked low white as a baby, but now is somewhere in the middle. I'd say from the pics, he is just a nice low white spider. Congrats!
