    Well

it appears the RTB BCI is the only option (besides some carpet pythons)

All this time I was so hyped "oh yay im gonna get another snake yaym burm or RTB" I didnt check my laws

It appears the law is.. no snake over 10 foot.

I asked on reptiles canada "no snake over 10 foot.. so does that mean a burm male under 10 foot is okay?"

and everybody said no, That the law was there specially for burms and retics.

    So... :tears: no burm

But I will be looking at several larger snakes, like the bredli carpet python, jungle, astal, and RTB.

Proabably going to go with the RTB though, they are the perfect size for me and everything

    so RTB wins by default

I feel like an idiot lol.. next time I gotta check my bylaws more thoroughly

BCI RTB sounds like your best choice. Im gonna get a Motley pair as soon as breeding starts paying off.

I Would have to vote on the BCC. You can find Surinames for around $200 and a Nice Peruvian in the $275 area. They dont get as big as a Burm but IMO they are breathtaking and still have a good size:D

    !

not trying to be the nay-sayer here but im gladd your goin with the bci only because the houseing/feeding bill for a burm would be FAR more expensive then any bcc. a nice albino i think goes for 200+ and granites around me are 125 thats nothing compared to the 500 dollar cage (nless u build your own) and the vet bills lol.. gotta make sure u even have a vet willing to see a 8-12 foot 50-80lb snake lol its not easy.

good choice on the boa tho they are fantastic snakes i almost bought one but am more of a python kinda guy

My uncle had a male burm that got to a full 15 feet and weighed in at a whopping 140 pounds (he wasn't even fat, he was in great shape for a burm!)

This was ON RATS. The burm refused to eat rabbits, so he had to have several rats at every meal. And trust me, my uncle tried his hardest to switch him.

Weight can be relative to the snake. It always was a chore moving Jake around, even if he was puppy-dog tame and not even head shy. He just had a whole lot of weight on him!

Whats BCI and BCC mean? sorry I'm also looking into the same thing as Mike I am taking a Herp care class at DMACC so i can have a snake over 6'...but state says not over 12' I'm thinking a Boa anyway I had one but he was so aggressive from being mistreated, never taken out and underfed... that I gave up and gave him to a breeder he was a regular RTB named him Diamond for the Diamond pattern down the side

Boa constrictor imperator and boa constrictor constrictor. True red tail boas are BCCs--they are bigger, their tails are known to be redder, and they look a little different. Colombian "red tail boas" are also known as 'common boas' and are BCIs. There are some visual differences and size differences, but they are often confused for each other! :)

Thank you "ya know what? I learned something today" really thank you I had a Columbian before so it was a BCI... which would be a "Lap kitty" BCI or BCC i know it takes a lot of handling and attention to get them there but I want a Burmese attitude but smaller than 12 foot (state law)
