    We've had snakes since 2008. I'm still afraid of them. You're much better than me - you can pick him out of his tank. I have to find one of my kids to do that for me. Once my kids have formed them into a ball on their hand, then I can handle them, even if they end up uncoiling and periscoping, I can handle it.

    I don't think you ever fully get rid of the phobia. Well, maybe after 20 years of owning these creepies. I'll post on here in 2028 to tell you if I finally got over it. :)

    Hissing doesn't mean it will bite you. My youngest BP is a female fire that I just got a few months ago, she was 100g now she is 500g+. She hisses all the time. When she doesn't hiss I get worried... lol. She hasn't tried to bite me even once.
