    Thanks - actually I made it. As far as costs, for a tank exactly the same as this one (without the extras... JUST the tank), I'd say it would cost around 700-800. The bonus with working with acrylic is that A) it can be made in virtually any colour, and B) it is MUCH lighter then glass.

    Update
    What I ended up doing to solve the problem was this:

    I moved the 4" Flexwatt tape to be under the front portion of the tank, which I've hooked up to a thermostat set to 82.0F.

    I used 11" Flexwatt under the rear portion of the tank, which I've hooked up to another thermostat at 90.0F.

    The humidifier runs for 4 hours each evening, which gets the humidity at night up to 65%, and during the day it slowly drops back down to 60%, and then back up again at night.
