Re: what do you think of these pastels?
No offense but if it was me I would honestly pass on both and wait till something better comes along, I am picky and select my animals VERY carefully.
They are both already quite dark for their age/size and will more than likely be dark adult which to me is not appealing.
Anyway since I am not you, it's up to YOU to make your decision, just remember patience always pays off

It's unfortunate that more breeders aren't breeding the basic morphs through selective breeding and that these are the examples of what "most" pastels look like these days.
These examples from selective breeding and what pastels "should" look like, IMHO:

Re: what do you think of these pastels?
those are beautiful pastels!. i like both patterns and id more more than 50 for them. wether they are dark or not, the potential for selective breeding is still there.
nice snakes!
Re: what do you think of these pastels?
I would choose the one on the right because the brighter pastel will hold the colour longer!
Re: what do you think of these pastels?
It really depends...
I hope this is not taken in the wrong way but both look like low quality pastels.
A good rule of thumb to remember when breeding pastels and examining the offspring is that ORANGE leads to brown out. Truth is with all pastels their is a deff sign of browning with a few exceptions. I dont care what most others say about this.
As I was reading threw this thread someone mentioned about selective breeding of pastels and I completely agree. You see to many times these days people are just jumping into pastels because of their low cost and just throwing them together and creating more brown pastels to the point where pastels are not even pastels anymore other than the gene factors.
It is truly sad to me being that unlike most people I really like pastels over many of the morphs people are working with today and they are dwindling down hill becasue of lack of knowledge in selective breeding. Not saying this about you but just in general as I have watched the quality of pastels head straight down hill in the last few months.
As far as pastels go you can read this link below and I hope this will help with many of the pastel problems and questions out their when breeding for quality and not quantity...

as far as price goes I would say 50-65 is fair do to the amount of brown in the animals now it is only going to increase dramatically in the end.

The second picture that I posted is a lemon pastel that I produced 2 years ago.
