    I've seen the threads with those eggs that were moldy and the clutchmates did fine but I never noticed the visible rotting of the egg. maybe i should have shown pics ekk the baby inside was crushed in a crease by mamas weight just before i put them in the incubator. the youlk inside started to go from being hard to almost fermenting and changing back to goo when i decided to remove it.....p.s. the smell was icky living in az with swamp coolers and monsoon not a good mix better safe than sorry in my eyes

    This is very true. My female sat on her eggs all the way till I got my incubator and opened them up. She started out with 5 eggs. One she kicked out, which was fertile and I had my distributor house it for me. One of the 4 remaining started to mold; since she was on her eggs you can't bother her. Needless to say it was interesting trying to remove it when it came to me opening my babies windows. lol.
