Also, to note, you can buy the safer plastic or ptfe jewelry from sites like www.bodyartforms.com or www.painfulpleasures.com just to name a couple. The prices are good and those are 2 of the sites that I have bought a large amount of my jewelry from. And it's always a good idea to have a few spare bars for the tongue or flat back labrets for the lip and spare balls for both as you really don't know just how easy it is to lose them until you suddenly notice one missing and don't have any spares.

Well that was extremely pretentious... haha

I have had my tongue pierced for seven years now. I really haven't had any problems with it. Sometimes when I chew food I accidentally bite down on the piercing and it hurts a little. Other then that I haven't really had any issues.

I had my tongue pierced all through highschool and I play with my piercings all the time so I was constantly bitting it and chipping my teeth so I switched from metal balls to acrylic and then I snapped one inside my mouth and it was a big mess so I took it out. I had my labret done for years and never had a problem and I have had my right side of my lip done forever and no problems. And I play with it all the time

I have neither but my personal vote between the two is tongue. I've thought about getting my tongue pierced, I sill might but have to wait until I have some time off work. I'm really really not a fan of any facial piercings personally, except maybe eyebrows, I just don't like how any look.

    Tongue vs. Lip Piercing
I've had many piercings, had eyebrow for years and had my lip pierced on the side for six years I took them all out in the end because adult job I want refuses to let me have any facial piercings. My eyebrow ripped tons back when I had it so I have a scar there and I have a scare right below my lower lip that people can't take there eyes off of. It's a great feeling talking to my cities Fire Chief and he can't stop focusing on my lip ring scar or the fact in my young rebel days I also tattooed my knuckles (long story they need to come off now) so remember its all cool when life is care free but most the time once you start getting older some tend to wish they had modified less. Not saying everyone does just personal experience from someone who had 17 piercings and has tattooed bunches of places.

I like both, though I'm more inclined to get piercings that can be easily hidden...I love my tongue piercing and recommend the tongue web and top and lower lip frenulum too!!!
