Re: WTF! What to do?
That looks like a thermal burn to me. I would ask for a full refund.

Re: WTF! What to do?
If anything, I would take something like that on as a rescue, not buy it.
True, could heal fine, with or without scar. Could also leave an ugly scar. Could also cause long-term problems with health or feeding. Just no guarantees.
What this snake needs is some intensive care. If this is a burn, the skin could begin to open up and slough off. This could get all kinds of ugly :(
Hopefully this seller will do whats right, as in giving the snake the care it needs (as well as making sure this won't happen again) or giving it to someone who will.

Re: WTF! What to do?
Looks like rat bites that are starting to heal to me. Either way, if you paid for what is in the bottom two pictures and you'll be getting what's in the top pictures, I'd demand a refund.
How did you get those pictures? The seller volunteered them to you?

i would also say thermal burn, but the OP stated that he tried feeding.. and the fact that he had to "come back" suggests it wasn't a monitored feeding... which means it could have a failed strike and it led to an aggravated prey item started chewing on the poor snake...
i vote rat bites, and i also agree that you should get your money back ASAP. bad breeder; unhealthy / injured snake = not worth your money... :(
sorry for the bee :(

I agree with demanding your money back and moving on. I've had bad experiences with snakes that came to me chewed up. It took my albino 7 months to eat again.

Re: WTF! What to do?
Dude get your m o n e y back! The breeder is not being honest with you. Trust me he knows what happen to the snake. Just my 2cents. Just look at the before and after pic. Thats not what you paid for and you should not have to play "vet" unless it was in your care or rescue. G e t y o u r r e f u n d !!! That breeder is mess up. I would not even show you that bee but gave you your whole refund back with an apology. Your title wtf is right.

Re: WTF! What to do?
Looks like a burn or a disease. I would get your money back and find a better breeder to buy from. There's no dates on the pics to prove when it happened. Good Luck

Re: WTF! What to do?
i talk to the seller. And made a deal. either I get a replacement. (cause i agree to buy the healthy snake which is in the before picture not the injured one.. :tears: ) or he treat it, until recover or until at least it back to feeding.
either way, im getting a refund, if the bee dont make it. I was this close to getting a bee.. :rage:
im not saying the seller is bad. cause i made numerous dealing with him before. the good thing is he send picture before, then send one again when bad thing happen. this is the 1s time, something this bad happen. i can say he is honest, but like he say, its a mice bite, not rat. i have to take his word.
Burn marks, we around here dont use heat mats, or heat lamp.

Re: WTF! What to do?
If you want it then tell him you will give him half. This way you can bring it back to health and then breed it to make more!
