Tips on breeding?

I'm in the process of buying the morphs I want to make the combos I want down the road. :) In the meantime I'm getting them all up to weight nice and slow.

Just get what you like and breed what YOU want to own, not what the market is currently snapping up. ;)

Agree. to me it's all about what I want to produce to see in my racks in the future.

I think it's got to be that way. Every Snake in my rack is something I think is beautiful that I want to own, and can produce things I also want to own. And yes I hope to sell a few but I have no illusions that this will help me break even or even replace my job. Now might it provide some disposable income or a little aide here and there. Sure. Will I get back what a payed for? Doubtful.


In the end it's for the love of the animals not the love of the money. Personally I am excited to breed next year or maybe the year after. To see those first eggs pip and those first snakes emerge. I daydream about that. Not the money just the experiance.

I completely agree, this forum has become a daily thing for me now, and I feel as if a hole has been filled in my social life, since NONE of my friends like snakes. Also, I'm thinking about breeding in the future as well. :)

I envy the people who are able to breed and hatch out all the gorgeous innocent baby bps even if they are normals.

Truth be told it is expensive but its a choice...some people choose to spend 10 k a year on new clothes or buy a new car or get their nails done/massages etc. But us we choose to spend our time and money bp's and rack systems and top of the line equipt. Lets all be honest bp upkeep is not cheap! And I'd much rather spend money on breeding snakes than material items. You can't do it for the money. You have to do it because you love to. Same as with choosing what career path you want to take.

I can't wait till I can breed when I am out of college (4 yrs!) but I dream of the day I can hatch out a precious bp. And you helped bring it into the world by your hard work. It is truely one of the beautiful things in life. Money def is not everything! And my heart aches for those ppl just in it for the money. :/
