Thanks, I know that the bee and at least one of the pastels are males from a quick popping, so the bee will probably be getting bred back to her next year. The babies are 71g-73g out of the egg, and mom started eating great as soon as I took the eggs from her. She was about 3,100g before she popped, and is packing weight back on, so I'm hoping they will be ready next season.

Thanks. Glad to hear that you are liking your incubator. I don't have a DIY that I know of, but if you do a search hear I think I explained what I did when I made my wine cooler incubator back in 2006, and I know you will find others that members have written about it over the years. Thanks, his siblings are the brightest spiders I have. That woma-ish female that produced that clutch really cleaned them up nicely.

Thanks, when there were only heads pipping out of the eggs, I didn't know what I had. I don't know if I have ever seen pastels with heads like that if there wasn't a second gene involved, and if this bee had hatched from one of my pastel girls I would have thought he was a killer bee with that head.
