Female Breeding size

So I have a 2008 female who's 1100g and who has been absolutely pigging out on rats the last few weeks. So I'm hopeful she'll make it to 1500g before she goes off feed this winter... but I don't actually know her birthdate.
Early summer of 2008, I guess?

My question is: If I breed her in November, is she considered a two year old or a three year old?

(I also have a 2007 girl who's a dedicated mouse eater and is a little smaller than the 2008. But I figure at her age, as long as she's close to 1500g, she's probably okay?)

If you're unsure, stick with the: At least 1500grams and three years of age.

Some go sooner, but again, if this is something new for you stick with that.

This would be considered her third winter(2008) so she is old enough! Short females can start at 1200 grams but longer females should be 1500 grams. I would try her and if she is not ready, she will not go!

This is my first breeding season coming up and my '05 girl is around 2900 grams on empty. I have alot of friends that breed balls and they dont breed until at least the 3rd winter and no smaller then 2400. They have noticed with their females when they have been larger and a little older they do not produce nearly as many slugs if any on their first season as when having a smaller female.
