Ok here goes, it's kind of tricky to check the mouth for the upper respiratory infection but you can tell by looking in their mouth if they have one. Use a tongue depressor or something flat and non sharp. open the snakes mouth you are going to be looking at the roof of the snakes mouth at the outer part of the top jaw towards the back. if you see wat looks like mucousy bubbly icky looking area then it's most likely wats going on. Hope this helps. If you don't see anything wrong in the mouth, then the farting, yes i've also heard of this, it's really gross and watch out cause they can really let loose and crap everywhere too :rolleyes:.
