Yeah, but we refer to VPI, TSK, and Joliff axanthics as different "lines". And there are plenty of both incompatible and compatible "lines" for ghosts/hypos.

To answer the original question: All pied and lavender albino "lines" thus far have been compatible with each other. Most pieds are "Kahl" line, originating from a small breeder group of wild caught specimens that was proven genetic by Pete Kahl in '97... but there been other imported animals since then, and at least one example of piebalds popping out of unknown hets in an unrelated collection, ie. the "Kobylka-line pieds".

I don't know as much about the different lavender albino lines or the captive history of the morph. There have been plenty of imported wild-caught and captive-hatched animal, and they've all been proven compatible with existing lavender albino "lines", but the only one that I've seen a lot of talk about is the selectively-bred, high-color "Excalibur" line.

I think as people become more concerned with inbreeding of recessive traits, particularly in association with double-recessive morphs like dreamsicles, you'll see a lot more attention paid to the different wild-caught "lines".

... I don't know how I read "albino" as "lavender albino". Some kinda Freudian slip... anyway, what everybody said about albino vs. lavender vs. caramel vs. ultramel. I know bumpkus about the different "plain-old" albino lines, other than Bob Clark proved them out originally, but most of those animal were stolen.
